Ella Rose is a Certified Makeup Artist serving the Washington DC region since 2015. Ella Rose is a combination of her surname and that of her late mother Rose Marie, who always encouraged her to create with love.
Ella Rose’s interest in creative arts began at the age of 10 when she used painting and drawing as an outlet during a prolonged childhood illness. The most exciting challenge was getting a fresh start on a blank canvas that she could transform into anything from her imagination.
She went on to complete a number of fine arts courses throughout college and later at the Torpedo Factory in Alexandria,VA. As the years rolled on, there seemed to be less and less time for art and a beloved hobby soon became an occasional dalliance with charcoal.
While preparing for her wedding, Ella Rose was inspired by a friend to do her own makeup and became self-taught by investing in training, products and tools to enhance her skill-set. She ultimately decided to hire a Makeup Artist for her Big Day once she developed an appreciation for the training and commitment required to become a Professional Makeup Artist.
A light was sparked during that time, when Ella Rose discovered a new art medium to express herself. Her passion for beauty found another outlet when she became an Independent Beauty Consultant with Mary Kay Cosmetics. Within a year, she grew her team to become a Senior Consultant.
As her Mary Kay customers repeatedly asked for beauty services, she trained at the Esthetic Institute of Vienna, VA, and subsequently launched Ella Rose Makeup Artistry to better serve customer demand for professional beauty services.
Ella Rose continues to be a lover of the arts and collects paintings and artifacts from all her international trips.
